With interests ranging from <strong>graphic design<\/strong> and <strong>creative projects<\/strong> to <strong>technology<\/strong>, she was looking for an opportunity to put her skills into practice while studying at university.<\/p><p>That&#8217;s when she came across a <strong>part-time marketing position at Peakforce on LinkedIn.<\/strong> The opportunity seemed almost too good to be true. The <strong>salary was attractive, the working hours suited her studies, and surprisingly few people had applied.<\/strong><\/p><p>There was just one small detail, though: <strong>Peakforce didn&#8217;t have a website, and its LinkedIn page was practically empty.<\/strong><\/p><p>Thankfully, the company was real. Working with the company responsible for its design and implementation, Irena contributed to creating the website, writing articles and developing its content.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It remains an ongoing project, and one she enjoys seeing evolve.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For Irena, the satisfaction comes not only from completing a campaign or publishing an article, but also from seeing how the work she started years ago has developed into something much exciting opportunity.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After years of working within a smaller team, becoming part of WeAre opened the door to collaborating with more people and taking part in a wider range of marketing activities.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What made the change easier was how familiar the working environment interest.<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although the teams work across two countries, she feels their approaches to working together have much in common. <strong>As she sees it, Finnish and Polish working cultures are not necessarily as different as people might expect.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For someone whose work involves bringing people, ideas and technical expertise together, becoming part of a larger international team has been an important step in her professional journey.<\/span><\/p><p><strong>At the same time, the independence about working at Peakforce and WeAre, she doesn&#8217;t start with the projects or the technology.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She starts with trust.<\/span><\/p><p><strong>\u201cI appreciate the freedom and trust that comes with our company culture.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Having the independence to plan her work, share ideas, and make decisions matters a great deal to her.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She values <strong>not being micromanaged<\/strong>, <strong>knowing that her opinions are respected,<\/strong> and <strong>feeling comfortable discussing difficult subjects openly<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>In her experience, both Peakforce and WeAre place importance on employee well-being and honest communication.<\/strong> Rather than avoiding uncomfortable conversations, people can address problems directly.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Remote work and flexible hours<\/strong> are another important part of that experience. For Irena, they make it possible to organise her responsibilities in a way that works for her, while still feeling supported by the people around her.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And although much of the collaboration happens remotely, meeting colleagues in person matters too.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of her favourite occasions is the <strong>WeAre Winter Party<\/strong>, which brings colleagues together and creates an opportunity to spend time with people beyond everyday meetings and 400;\">Irena&#8217;s creative interests don&#8217;t end when she closes her laptop.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She has also worked as a <strong>video editor<\/strong> and still enjoys doing occasional video projects, both for Peakforce and in her free time.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Outside work, she likes <strong>reading books<\/strong> and <strong>graphic novels<\/strong>, occasionally <strong>playing the ukulele<\/strong> and <strong>learning to draw.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And then there&#8217;s her <strong>rescued dog<\/strong>, whom she affectionately describes as <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<strong>a bit old and crazy, but still the best Peakforce at a time when there was plenty of room to experiment, learn and take responsibility.
