Finding New Observability Provider -
Splunk Case Study with ONEiO
Key takeaways
- Our client, ONEiO, was looking for new observability software and a partner who could provide long-term, hands-on technical support.
- They tested Splunk against their existing tool in their own environment for three weeks, which gave them a clear basis for the final decision. Since the trial environment was fully functional, transitioning to production required minimal additional work and a brief training session.
- The right platform can reduce the effort needed to manage observability. In this case, the client found that Splunk required less administrative effort and gave them room to expand their use of the platform.
Introduction
The whole story began with a single post on LinkedIn. Our client reached out to us after reading our CEO’s posts about observability and learning more about our business profile. They had been considering switching software provider for some time and were looking for a competent partner in the local market.
What they were looking for was a high-level, peer-to-peer technical partnership with people who understood the field and could speak their language.
About our client
ONEiO is a Managed Integration Service Provider. Its approach can be summed up as ”Say yes to every integration demand, and break nothing.”: ONEiO builds and operates integrations as a managed service, using its own cloud platform and automation in place of custom code and project-based delivery. The result is integrations that keep running as systems and processes around them change.
Due to this, our client was already very mature and experienced in the field of observability. They took a cautious and responsible approach to managing their data and services and knew exactly what they needed from their tools and partners.
It’s a pleasure to work with them, and we’re delighted that they chose us as their licensing provider.
Purchase process & outcomes
The reason our client started looking for new observability software and a new provider was a combination of aggressive price increases and difficulties communicating with their existing provider. They lacked local support and presence, and there was little room to discuss their pricing or find an arrangement that worked for them.
Right after our first phone call, we were able to schedule a meeting and get straight to the point. During the one-hour meeting, thanks to the presence of one of our technical consultants, we were already able to run a first mini-demo using their environment.
ONEiO was very advanced in the field of observability, so there was no need to spend time going over the basics. We could move quickly and focus on the things that actually mattered to their team. They were satisfied with how the meeting went, so together with Splunk, we organized a full-scale demo of Splunk Observability Cloud. This was followed by a rigorous three-week comparison period, during which the customer evaluated Splunk against their existing tool.
Ultimately, the client decided to go ahead with Splunk implementation. One of the key conclusions was that the platform required less administrative effort than their previous solution. Thanks to our Elite Partner status, we were also able to offer a very competitive licensing deal.
Because the trial environment was fully functional, moving to a live production environment was straightforward. The implementation itself required only a short introductory training session of under two hours, thanks to the team’s high level of technical expertise.
ONEiO has been using our services since the beginning of 2026. Over time, they have also expanded their initial scope by adding Splunk Cloud Platform to their portfolio, successfully consolidating logs and monitoring into one platform.
Why choose WeAre Solutions
Based on their experience with their previous supplier, our client was looking for a partner who was physically closer and more accessible than a large global vendor.
They saw the value in working with a partner who maintains a strong relationship with the vendor, Splunk, while also being able to act as a knowledgeable, local extension of their own team. WeAre is exactly that kind of partner.
We place a strong emphasis on technical skills, something we were able to demonstrate during our very first meeting. Our team consists of specialists who understand the technology and, just as importantly, the challenges our clients face when using it.
Our goal is simple: to understand what the client actually needs and find the solution that works best for them.
Why Splunk was the right choice
Splunk was a good fit for the client because it could support their observability needs while also giving them room to expand their use of the platform over time.
Splunk brings observability and security capabilities together and can be deployed in the cloud or on-premises. Its broad data platform makes it possible to collect, search, and analyze data from a wide range of sources without relying on separate tools for every use case.
Splunk also continues to evolve alongside the changing needs of IT and security teams. For example, Splunk has been named a Leader in the 2025 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), marking its eleventh consecutive placement.
For our client, however, the decision ultimately came down to practical considerations: how well the platform performed in their environment, how much effort it required to manage, and whether the overall solution made sense for their team.
The three-week comparison gave them the opportunity to test all of this in practice before making the decision. Splunk ultimately proved to be the right choice – both as a technology and as a platform they could continue building on.
